There are certain things that will always be associated with Valentine’s Day. Love, romance, flowers, chocolates, and of course, the color red come to mind. Today I am sharing some non traditional V-Day colors that will work perfectly for your Valentine’s Day outfit!
Rose Gold
This year swap out pink with rose gold! Whether its with accessories or a top (styled above) rose gold is a fun way to add an unexpected pop to your outfit. Rose gold might be my favorite color for Valentine’s Day!
White
I am a firm believer that white looks great on everyone. An all white outfit is super chic and you can definitely pull it off for Valentine’s day. Pair your look with a bright red lip and you’re good to go!
Apricot
So let’s talk about the color apricot. Last month, on my last day in paris *swoon*, I fell in love with a top at a little boutique in Le Marais. Until this moment, I had not realized how beautiful the color apricot is. Basically, apricot is peach’s lesser known but possibly more sophisticated cousin. Aside from apricot colored tops, apricot dresses are stunning!
Navy
As a business woman, I may be biased, but I think a navy pantsuit is killer for Valentine’s day. My number one tip on rocking a pantsuit is to make sure that it is tailored! If pantsuits aren’t your thing than go for anything pleated.
Mauve
Mauve is a such a romantic color. It pairs perfectly with blush tones and even some bold prints! Mauve works beautifully with different fabrics and textures. For Valentine’s Day I recommend a ruffled mauve top or a chiffon dress. Anything that flows, will look beautiful in this color.
Burgundy
Burgundy is a twist on the classic Valentine’s day red. Play this color up with different fabrics such as velvet, or with your accessories!
Black
So black is probably not the first color that comes to mind when you think of V-Day but we all know that black is timeless and sexy. You can never go wrong with all black or a black and white combo.
Whether you are spending Valentine’s Day with your SO or your gal pals, I hope you have an awesome time. Thanks for stopping by the blog beauties. If you want a couple of V-day outfit ideas check out this throwback post here!
