When you think Valentine’s Day, the color red is probably one of the first things to pop into your head. This year, I’ve decided to shake things up with 5 colors to wear on V-Day that aren’t red. If you want even more inspo, be sure to check out more colors to wear on Valentine’s Day here, outfit ideas here and here, and V-day date ideas here.
Silver
A cool silver is killer for Valentine’s Day. I recently found a silver dress and thought to myself how perfect the lace detailing would be for V-day (shown below.) This is also a great way to get some use out of those pieces you may have purchased for the holiday season.
Lavender
Purple for Valentine’s Day does not get enough credit. Lavender can be a very romantic color and is definitely in my top three for V-day. I recommend it as a subtle yet sassy statement. Lavender pairs extremely well with all the other colors on this list, so experiment! After all, purple is the color of the year.
Pink
We all know pink for V-day is classic, so that’s exactly why it’s on this list. Pink is such a flirty and feminine color. Besides, if not red for V-day, why not pink?
White
Last year I wrote a blog post called, 7 Colors to Wear this Valentines Day That aren’t Red and I could not resist adding white to this list as well. Whether you’re going for a chic, laid back, or sophisticated outfit, white is just one of those colors that works for everything.
Nude
You can literally never go wrong with nude. Go for a monochromatic outfit for a sleek look or add a touch of nude with heels to elongate your legs. No matter what, nude will always look good on you. So find a nude that flatters your skin tone and wear the heck out of it!
