Hi Everyone! If you don’t follow me on Instagram it has been quite some time (1.5+ years) since you’ve heard from me. A LOT has happened in this span of time and I wanted to kick off my blogging journey-again with life updates from 2019-2020. Today I will be sharing updates on work, relationships, puppies, babies, and my plans for content on this blog.
Life Update #1: Working in Luxury Beauty
Starting off with an update from 2019. I became a full-time employee for the prestige beauty company that I have been dreaming of working for! I now get to combine two of my passions, tech & beauty in my daily life. I mainly work in tech product management, and brand management. I love working with my favorite beauty brands, and bridging the gap between business & technology to develop applications for our beauty advisors and beauty lovers like you!
Blog Update: Corporate Life & Tips
I am really passionate about helping women navigate the corporate world. I plan on sharing my experiences working in corporate, tips for landing your dream job after college, and more.
Life Update #2: I’m Engaged!
This Valentine’s Day I got engaged to the love of my life Darian! Although we have been talking about getting married for years, I was so surprised and did not expect the proposal at all. Darian and I met about seven years ago while working at an after-school youth program and started dating about a year into knowing each other.
Blog Update: Wedding Planning, Relationships, Move to Manhattan
I am excited to share my wedding planning journey with you all. Any bride will tell you that planning a wedding during Covid-19 is different. I cannot wait to share our adventures navigating wedding planning, honeymoon details, our move to the city, a puppy in the future, and more! Also, if you are a 2020 bride that has been affected by Covid, I am so sorry. Your feelings are valid and you deserve to have your dream wedding even if it’s not at this time!
Life Update #3: We got a puppy!
Our family poodle, Yogi, passed away last September and it was devastating. Yogi was part of our family for almost 15 years and was our baby. It has been really hard adjusting to living life without my little partner and I dream about him all the time. Yogi, pictured on the left, was the most loyal, loving, and intuitive dog I’ve ever met. I am so lucky to have been able to spend more than half of my live with him.
Although no dog will fill the void of losing Yogi, Tango has brought the joy of having a furry family member back into our lives. Tango belongs to my sister & brother-in-law, BUT since they can’t have a dog at their apartment, Tango has become our family puppy. He is about 11 months old now and is HUGE. He is super cuddly, loves to give kisses, and play tug-of-war.

Life Update #4: Baby Valentina
I am an aunt now! My sister gave birth to my healthy and beautiful first niece in June. Her drive-through baby shower is pictured above to the left. I am completely head over heels obsessed with baby Valentina. She has been such a light in our lives. Valentina has unlocked a part of me I didn’t even know existed.
Life Update #5: Covid-19 in NYC
Just as many people around the world, Covid has brought on the biggest changes and impacts on my life. Quarantine began in NYC back in March. I as well as Darian, and most of our loved ones began working from home at this time.
Having high-risk individuals in our home including my elderly grandparents and pregnant sister, we have done the best we can to protect our family. My mother being a nurse, saw first-hand how families were impacted by coronavirus during this time. I remember barely seeing my mother during this time. She quarantined herself in our basement, ate dinner by herself, and wouldn’t dare walk around our home without a mask. The first hug we were finally able to give each other after months of this, was one of the happiest moments of my life.
We have only recently started going back to some form of normalcy. The photo above on the left is from our first date outdoors, well at a drive in movie in our car, back in August. Last month Darian and I had our first dinner date out since February as well. We have spent most of quarantine cooking, spending time with our family, and taking care of our fiddle leaf fig tree-which sprouted two leaves this spring.
We have lost loved ones to covid, and I want to let you know that even in your darkest days you are not alone. Please feel free to reach out to me if you need someone to talk to. We all need to be there for each other during these tough times.
Blog Update: Life in Quarantine
It’s disappointing seeing some influencers share parties, vacations, and other activities where you can blatantly see that covid guidelines & restrictions are not being followed. Life is different now and I don’t want to pretend that it isn’t. I am going to share anything from recipes we’ve loved making during quarantine, socially-distanced activities, at home work out programs I’ve been loving, and more.
As always, thank you for stopping by.
