ABOUT ME

Hey everyone! I’m Daisi, the woman behind Daisi Ari, formerly known as On the Colorful Side. I am a consultant by day and a style blogger by night. I love to put outfits together, go on adventures, and tell stories so I decided to bring each of my passions together to create DaisiAri.com. Through this blog I share style, beauty, and travel tips for the everyday gal. This blog not only represents personal style, but also living a happy, or as I like to say “colorful” life. I hope to inspire women to do what they love and to look and feel great while doing it!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and remember to live on the colorful side!

FAQ’s

Below are a few of my frequently asked questions. If you have any questions you would like me to answer, or just want to say hi, send me a quick direct message on Instagram or use my contact form in my “contact” tab.

Where are you based?

I live in my favorite place in the world, New York City! I work in the city and live in one of the boroughs. I would love to move to Brooklyn in the coming years.

Who takes your photos?

Believe it or not, my two baby sisters take the majority of my photos, big shoutout to both Karina, 17, and Kimberly, 12! When I travel, my friends, or whoever I am with, will step in and help me out with my photos. I take all product photos, flat lays, and travel photos myself.

What camera equipment do you use to take your photos?

I use a Canon Rebel T5i with a Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 lens for most of my photos. I use the Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens for close up and detail shots. If you’re starting out or are on a tight budget, I recommend investing in the Canon 50mm first, or using the kit lens before upgrading. I use an eyefi SD card to easily transfer my photos directly to my phone.

What do you use to edit your photos?

I use Lightroom to edit my photos. I use a preset for my Instagram and blog photos. Presets help with achieving a cohesive look and I love them. I am currently in the works of creating a few for my readers to use!
